Frequently asked questions

  • Polyurea, epoxy, and polyaspartic are all popular coatings for garage flooring but differ in durability, application, and curing time. Epoxy provides a strong, chemical-resistant surface but takes longer to cure, 24 hours, and can be brittle over time as it continually hardens and has a tendency to yellow.Polyurea is more flexible, highly resistant to chemicals and abrasions, and cures quickly, making it ideal for 1 day floors. Polyaspartic is what we use as our topcoat. It is a type of polyurea that is fast curing and most importantly UV stable reducing the likelihood yellowing in a floor.

  • When our floors are wet, they can be slippery due to the gloss finish of polyaspartic. Our top coat is spread at a rate that allows your feet to maintain skid resistance while optimizing cleanability of the floor. It is a fine balance. We recommend having a squee-gee in the area that the floor is installed to move excess water and reduce the risk of slipping.

  • We diamond grind all floors. This optimizes the substrate to absorb as much of the chemicals as possible, creating a far superior bond to acid etching or pressure washing. Once ground, we will vacuum up the dust on the floor and then install the floor shortly after.

  • There will be dust, however it will be contained by our commercial Diamapro concrete vacuums. As we are grinding concrete, there will be some excess dust that the vacuum doesn't absorb. We do our best to leave your garage or area of install, better than we found it.

  • Yes, please move your items out of your garage a day prior to the scheduled install date. We recommend using a local moving company or have a mobile storage pod delivered to make to move easier and pain free.

  • Its up to you! We know making decisions about your home can be difficult so here are a few highlights of our most popular floors. Flake floors, are our most popular sell. The ease of clean and classic garage floor design make it a great pick. Terrazzo floors are beautiful and are sure to make your patio or garage floor stand out among your neighbors. Quartz floors offer superior skid resistance as they have a sandy like texture.  Custom flake blends and metallic floors are one of one, high end floors giving you assurance than no one will have a garage floor like yours!

  • Under normal everyday wear a garage floor should last up to 10 years! We offer floor resurfacing if you ever wanted to spruce up your previously installed floor with a fresh coat of polyaspartic.

  • Best practice for cleaning is simple green or water with a scrub brush and a squeegee.
